About Me and This Blog

Me

I used to write. All the time. Then I stopped for about 25 years. Now I’m writing again. Yes, I’m way too rusty but am trying to get my gears unstuck, and I’m hoping my blogging will help me get going again.

I’m a superannuated girl who once upon a time was a computer systems engineer and an ice hockey goalie. Now I’m just a lazy bee. Well, not really, it just feels that way, due to health problems, medications and attendant spaciness. I can’t think my way out of a wet paper bag these days, and I sleep more than any human ought to–except when I have insomnia and turn into a stumbling zombie. I also whine a lot.

This resembles me at age 20, except I was skinnier. A photo of my grandmother Lucie Hoodlet McKee taken in 1916.

This Blog

I plan to use this blog for postings about my writing experiences, brief excerpts from my fiction and some of my more serious poetry. I also have a Tumblr blog that has daily haiku, random thoughts and lighter poems.
